Trillectro returns Aug. 17 with Nadastrom, King Chip, DJ Sliink

Washington isn't exactly known for its homegrown rap scene, so it was a definite milestone when Trillectro blew up the Fairgrounds last year, attracting a young, enthusiastic cross section of fans drawn to the event's smart blend of hip-hop and dance artists.

The 2013 edition of the festival returns to Half Street SE on Aug. 17 from noon to 9 p.m. with a lineup that includes D.C. expat Nadastrom, rising Cleveland rapper King Chip, 21-year-old DJ Sliink from New Jersey, plus Ghost Beach, Carnage, ASAP Ferg and others.

DJ Sliink
Gent and Jawns
Alex Young
Ghost Beach
