Bardo opens tonight, without Bardo beers

The second incarnation of the Bardo brewpub opens at 5 p.m. tonight at 1200 Bladensburg Road NE, but one thing will be missing: Bardo beers. Brewery founder Bill Stewart says Bardo is still in the process of obtaining its brewpub license, which will "probably be a couple of months" away. In the meantime, Bardo has acquired a tavern license, and will be serving 20 of Stewart's favorite beers on tap, including Old Rasputin Imperial Stout, Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse "and Natty Boh for the common folks."
