Belgian Restaurant Week’s best Belgian beer specials

The annual Belgian Restaurant Week kicked off today and runs through July 21, with different themed specials each night. Offers extend beyond dinner, though, to include a variety of famous Belgian beers. Belgophiles might want to mark these nights on their calendars.

On Tuesday, there will be half-price mussels and frites at Belga Cafe, B Too, Granville Moore’s and Brasserie Beck. Belga and B Too have specials all night, while Granville Moore’s and Beck run until 8 p.m. Beck, however, sweetens the deal with seven half-price drafts from 4 to 8 p.m.

Thursday's Belgian Happy Hour means half-price drafts at B Too and Belga until 7 p.m. and half-price drafts at Beck and Mussel Bar until 8 p.m. Granville Moore’s takes $2 off all draft beers, starters and mussels until 8 p.m.

Saturday features chefs competing in a Mussel Throwdown at Eastern Market from noon to 3 p.m., with $5 beers and mussels. Everything wraps up Sunday with Delirium Tremens-themed parties at B Too, Belga, Et Voila and Granville Moore’s.
