Table is unveiling a new $35 brunch tasting menu on Aug. 18 -- conveniently, one day before a week of $35 prix-fixe madness kicks off throughout D.C. for restaurant week. Except this deal -- add $13 for unlimited mimosas -- is here to stay.

The Shaw restaurant decided to switch from three courses to five courses to showcase more of chef Frederik De Pue's signature dishes. You'll begin with pastries and breads, and a homemade granola with yogurt. Next up are the smoked salmon crepe with creme fraiche, and a stacked prosciutto mille-feuille pastry with goat cheese and fig, all beautifully layered:

Then, you'll get your pick between the grilled char with green beans, or the skirt steak roulade with spinach, poached egg and gremolata, below. All of these little tastes give the "Degustation" menu its name: The word refers to a careful, appreciative sampling of multiple small courses.

And yep, it ends in dessert: a homemade creme fraiche and strawberry gelato.

The menu is available on Sundays, and Table takes reservations via OpenTable.
