It has never been easier to get a good cocktail, thanks to the bartenders of Washington. But if your interest in a well-made drink goes beyond popping into PX or the Columbia Room, you should check out the new documentary "Hey Bartender," which looks at the rise of the craft cocktail movement. It includes guest appearances by such esteemed bartenders as Dale DeGroff, Sasha Petraske (New York's Milk & Honey) and Jim Meehan (New York's PDT) as it follows two very different barmen trying to make their way in the world.

"Hey Bartender" screens tonight at the West End Cinema at 7:20, and this one-time-in-D.C. appearance includes pre-film drinks made by Freddy May, an ambassador for William Grant and Sons. After the screening, there's an audience Q&A with director Douglas Tirola and Steve Schneider, the head bartender at New York's esteemed Employees Only.

Tickets are $12, including tax and service fee, and can be purchased online from the West End Cinema. (Advance purchase is strongly recommended.)
