Get in the Halloween mood with movies, candy and $2 beers at Comet

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown Might you see this classic Halloween cartoon at Comet Ping Pong? You won't know until you show up at the bar. (File image courtesy of Lee Mendelson / WARNER BROS.)

Halloween is still more than three weeks away, but you might as well start getting into the spirit of the season right now. Comet Ping Pong makes it easy: The D.C. pizza parlor and bar will screen Halloween movies and cartoons in its back room every Monday during the month of October.

You may see "Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers"; you may catch a Halloween-themed episode of "The Berenstain Bears." The catch is that you won't know until showtime. Making Double Feature Mondays a bet worth taking: Free candy, free admission, $2 PBR cans, $4 Jim Beam shots and $6 craft beer on tap.
