The rare confluence of Thanksgiving and Hanukkah has been a culinary inspiration to amateur and professional chefs nationwide. So, here's a menu you won't see at DGS Delicatessen again for another 77,000 years or so: Thanksgiving-inspired latkes, including one with turkey, gravy and cranberry sauce.

For all eight days of Hanukkah, which begins at sundown Nov. 27, you can try DGS's sweet potato-red onion, golden beet-horseradish and carrot-cumin latkes ($6 for three), all served with homemade apple preserves and sour cream. For dessert, there are donuts, a take on sufganiyot: Nutella, pastry cream, and grape preserves (also $6 for three).

And to mark the once-in-a-lifetime event itself (a day early so that DGS employees can have a nice Thanksgivvukkah with their families on Thursday), DGS will offer a special sweet potato latke topped with roasted turkey, gravy and cranberry sauce ($9). It'll make you want to give thanks for this strange calendar overlap.
