On Sunday, Tornadoes with winds up to 190 miles per hour swept through Illinois, leaving a wide path of destruction and killing six people. Today, a group of Prairie State expats and alumni groups are coming together at Capitol Hill's Union Pub to raise money for the Central Illinois Red Cross's relief efforts.

Alumni from Bradley University, Eureka College, Illinois State University, Illinois Wesleyan University, Northwestern University and the University of Illinois will join the Illinois State Society and the D.C. Bears Fans at the bar, which will donate 10 percent of all food and drink sales to the Red Cross. Attendees are asked to give $20 to the Red Cross at the door.

The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m., and happy hour specials include $3 mixed drinks, $12 Bud Light pitchers and $20 buckets of seasonal beer.
