The Canal Park Ice Rink is open

After delays caused by flooding and damage from a busted pipe, the Canal Park Ice Rink is now open for its second season. The fingers-crossed estimate was that the rink would open by mid-December, which turned out to be accurate.

The neighborhood's apres-skate amenities have improved since the last time you skated at Canal Park. There's Park Tavern, which is located at the center of the roundabout rink; Gordon Biersch, Bluejacket, Osteria Morini and, as of Saturday, Agua 301, have all opened since April. And there's always Justin's Cafe and Lot 38 Espresso Bar nearby as well.

Rink admission is $8 for adults, $7 for children under 12, seniors over 55 and military members. Skate rental is $3.

Want more ice skating options in Maryland and Virginia, too? Here's our original list.
