Grab your warmest mittens and head over to Dupont Circle at 6:30 p.m. tonight if you're looking for a big-kid version of a wintry childhood pastime. Or, alternatively, avoid the area if being pelted with snowballs by recent graduates is not your idea of fun. Today's rapid accumulation has made conditions perfect for one of the city's occasional snowball fights, which is being organized this evening on Facebook.

You can find more details here, but a few things to remember: Don't throw snow at cars or else you will get in very big trouble. You can expect a police presence, and that's a good thing (remember when a plainclothes detective flashed a gun at a 2009 fight?). It's probably best to have young kids and pets sit this one out. May the odds be ever in your favor.
