Ticket alert: Katy Perry, Tokyo Police Club, S. Carey

We suspect that there is little overlap among the fan bases of Katy Perry and Bon Iver. But if you've got a soft spot for either, now's the time to get cracking on tickets. Shows this spring by Perry, Bon Iver percussionist S. Carey and those other radio-ready Canadians,  Tokyo Police Club, all are on sale in the coming days. And, while you're at it, grab tickets now for grungy up-and-comers Speedy Ortiz at the Black Cat (already on sale here, but don't expect them to last).

Tickets go on sale today at noon for Tokyo Police Club's May 13th show at the Black Cat. The wordy Canadian alt-rockers, who broke out with their shining pop album "Elephant Shell," are slated to release a new album, "Forcefield," this spring. Tickets for their D.C. stop are $20; get them here.

Classically trained Bon Iver drummer S. Carey is set to release his second album, "Range of Light," in April, and the musician, whose solo work is about as spare and meditative as Bon Iver's, with fewer hooky falsettos, is set to descend on the Rock and Roll Hotel on April 13. Tickets, $10-$12, are on sale now.

Tickets are on sale Monday for Katy Perry's upcoming Prismatic tour, a 46-date arena outing that brings the newly dressed-down pop queen to Verizon Center for two nights, June 24-25, to promote her latest, "Prism." Tickets for the shows go on general sale Monday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster  and The financially conservative can also scoop up fee-free tickets through the 9:30 Club box office during open hours. Tickets are $29.50 to $153.50.
