Pharrell’s hat, now on view in Alexandria

Pharrell's hat is the subject of "Happy," artist Diane Blackwell's Warhol-esque treatment of pop culture's most au courant lid.


"Happy" is on view through May 5 as part of the Art League Gallery's "Pop Art" show, in which artists apply the dominant styles of the 1960s to contemporary subjects.  Works from the exhibit will serve as inspiration for cocktails at the Alexandria gallery's Art on the Rocks event, April 30 from 7 to 10 p.m.
