World Cup soccer returns to Dupont Circle for USA-Germany match

Mark your calendars, soccer fans (like you haven't already): The World Cup match between the U.S. and Germany will be shown in the middle of Dupont Circle on Thursday, June 26 at noon.

During the 2010 World Cup, the Dupont Festival's Soccer in the Circle event drew hundreds of fans to watch the U.S. play England on a pair of 25-foot screens. The event's organizer, Aaron DeNu, told The Post's Soccer Insider in January he was hopeful the event would return for at least one match in 2014. Fans asking for a place to watch the midday match now have an answer.
