Music free-for-all: Summer concerts that won’t cost you a cent

Empty wallet? Never fear. There are plenty of free summer concert series in the city and suburbs.

The District

Adams Morgan: Saturdays from 5 to 7 p.m. through June 28 (except June 14). Columbia and Adams Mill roads NW. 202-997.0783.

Fort Dupont: Saturdays at 7 p.m. July 19 through Aug. 9. Minnesota Avenue and Randle Circle SE.

Friday Night Concert Series: Friday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. through mid-September (except July 4 and Aug. 29). Yards Park, 355 Water St. SE.

Sunsets With a Soundtrack: Groups from the U.S. Army Band perform Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m. June 5 through Aug. 15 (except July 3 and 4).
