But there's more: On Friday, the bar will host a "Point Break" viewing party, showing the movie on all its TVs with full sound. Bartenders will be dressed up like the bank-robbing Ex-Presidents gang, and a special late-night happy hour includes two meatball subs for $10, and glasses of a special drink called "Punch. Quarterback Punch." for $5. (If you got both of those references, you're the target audience for this party.)
If the "cocktail menu plus movie screening" formula sounds familiar, it's because Hank's created a similar pairing inspired by "Top Gun" at the beginning of August. It went so well that the staff has decided to do something similar every month. Bartender Michael Saccone says he's looking forward to "Zoolander" at some point, just because he wants to make drinks called Blue Steel and Orange Mocha Frappuccino.
The new cocktail list isn't the only good news for "Point Break" diehards: On Oct. 4, the Point Break Live! show brings its on-stage re-creation of the movie to the Howard Theatre. One lucky attendee gets plucked out of the audience to play the role of Johnny Utah, because, the thinking goes, an average person is probably a better actor than Keanu Reeves.
