This sandwich by Dirty South Deli and Taylor Gourmet contains multitudes

We've sung the praises of Dirty South Deli before, but the food truck and National Museum of Women in the Arts' pop-up cafe may have outdone itself with its newest offering, a collaboration at Taylor Gourmet. For the month of February, all Taylor locations will offer a messy, spicy collaborative concoction called the Memphis Raines Parkway. True to each restaurant's naming convention, the sandwich is a) named for a Nicolas Cage character and b) sounds like an odonym.

They've started with Taylor's breaded chicken cutlets -- which are doused in Crystal, the Southern hot sauce with a cult following -- and topped them with sliced cucumber, kale and cabbage slaw, red onion, gorgonzola and a pepper and Parmesan buttermilk dressing.

There are multitudes contained within this sandwich. One bite will make you think of wings, while another reminded one of our tasters of Amsterdam Falafelshop (we think it was the combination of the cabbage slaw, cucumber and breading). Grab the extra napkins; you'll need 'em.

Taylor Gourmet, multiple locations. Available through Feb. 28. Small: $7.49. Large: $10.49.
