Those of us left out in the cold during the first go 'round may have better luck this year, when the festivities will expand to include Mockingbird Hill's two sibling bars, Eat the Rich and Southern Efficiency, which Brown co-owns with Drink Company partner Angie Fetherston on the same block in Shaw.
Miracle on Seventh Street will debut this year on Nov. 25, a.k.a. the day after Thanksgiving, a.k.a. Black Friday -- a.k.a. that day when relatives and white-knuckle shopping can make a little tipple even more appealing. It's scheduled to run through Dec. 31, concluding with a New Year's Eve party.
Like the inaugural event, this year's Miracle on Seventh Street will feature over-the-top decor (dinosaur nativity scene, dreidel chandelier, etc.) and special cocktail creations. Curiously, this year's event features a partnership with beer behemoths Stella Artois and Budweiser -- that means a new beer cocktail, plus "beer inspired swag and other boozy treats," according to a press release.
No word on the themed menu yet, but it may be hard to beat some of last year's unique drink names, including "Gretchen, Stop Trying to Make Fetch Happen" and "I Don't Mind You Shooting Me, Frank, But Take It Easy on the Rum."
