The Dassanach people in southern Ethiopia and Kenya, and the Turkana of Kenya, live and draw fish from different points of a shared border along Lake Turkana. But the Turkana people have historically clashed over ethnic differences and resources such as fishing, pasture and fresh water with other tribes bordering their territory, the Dassanach among  them.
