Five of the most-liked Washington Post comments from the last 24 hours

Wednesday commenters focused on Chris Christie ordering the closures of lanes on a bridge to make things difficult for the mayor of Fort Lee, N.J.

1. From E-mails suggest top Christie aide used lane closures for retribution by Aaron Blake; Manhattan123 (35 likes)

Gee, what a shocker. No one could have ever predicted that Chris Christie would be a mean-tempered, revengeful bully who would misuse the powers of office.

Tie — 2. From 3 questions on Chris Christie’s Bridge-gate by Chris Cillizza; ComfortablyDumb (33 likes)

Wouldn’t it be ironic if Christie’s next job involved moving traffic cones?

Tie — 2. From Chris Christie’s bridge collapse by Jonathan Capehart; Liam-still (33 likes)

Nice bridge you have there mayor; it would be a shame if it should suffer an acute blockage if you do not endorse me. Godfather Christie.

4. From Fox News addresses Satan statue spat by Erik Wemple; jamalmstrom (26 likes)

The state of Oklahoma brought it on themselves when they wrote the law which set this system up. They were trying to avoid a First Amendment lawsuit. What they got was the Law of Unintended Consequences.

5. From Morning Plum: GOP has another chance to declare independence from Tea Party by Greg Sargent; The-Historian (15 likes)

“Republicans are now professing openness to the general idea of extending this lifeline — having moved away from their ideological objections to it — and are now claiming concern over how to pay for it.”

Aaah yes, how to pay for prescription drug plan, tax cuts, two wars of choice ….. the hypocrisy is astounding.
