A mother duck and her ducklings were wandering along L Street NW during prime lunchtime in downtown D.C. this afternoon. Passersby took photos and corralled the bird family away from the street into a more enclosed grassy area in front of the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center at 16th and L streets NW.

It’s unclear where these ducks came from or where they were going, but it appears they were far from home.
