For a transit system that doesn’t carry any passengers and largely travels in a straight line, the H Street streetcar manages to get itself into a lot of trouble.

This time, the street car collided with a police car. The collision occurred at 7:22 p.m. Thursday at 13th and H streets NE, according to Terry Owens, a spokesman with the District Department of Transportation.

No one was injured and both vehicles sustained just minor damage.

From the photo posted to Twitter, the D.C. police car appears to be parked over the white line on the street car’s path, which drivers are prohibited from parking over.

Owens says an investigation is underway.

Who’s excited for this thing to open to riders?
