It wasn’t admitting to smoking crack while in a “drunken stupor.”

Nor was it being snubbed by “House of Cards” star Kevin Spacey, not once, but twice.

No, no. Maybe the thing that finally pushed Toronto mayor Rob Ford to seek help for his substance abuse problems was this: getting zinged by Justin Bieber, pop star, well-monied juvenile delinquent and Canadian export Most Likely to Elicit Eye-rolling. So reports the Toronto Star:

On March 15, an hour before he disappeared into a washroom at Muzik, Ford ran into pop star Justin Bieber in a common area of the exclusive nightclub near Toronto’s waterfront, according to witnesses. Ford tried to shake Bieber’s hand and became enraged when Bieber jokingly asked him, “Did you bring any crack to smoke?”

Ouch. When the Beebz, himself no stranger to public meltdowns or DUIs, has the hubris to call out drug-addled boozing — or is it booze-addled drugging — it’s time to stick a fork in yourself. You’re done.

Ford, who recently announced a bid for reelection, said Wednesday that he would take a leave to address his alcohol problem, but made no mention of the latest video making its rounds on the Internet, allegedly capturing the mayor smoking crack. Again.
