By the time the 19-year-old turned to a weightlifting forum on Reddit, his confidence was shattered

“Feeling completely embarrassed at this point,” he wrote after, he said, he was laughed out of his local gym. He described his “bad day,” which left him “completely demoralized” — a session that ended like so: “I put the bar and the weights in their places, and left with my head hanging low. I know everyone experiences failure once in a while, but having it served to me firsthand coupled with people laughing just destroyed my confidence.

Luckily for the teenager, who goes by “GnashBrowns” on Reddit, the most famous weightlifter of all time had his back.

“I always say don’t be afraid of failure, because how far can you really fall?” responded Arnold Schwarzenegger. The seven-time Mr. Olympia, three-time Mr. Universe and former governor of California swooped in like a real-life last action hero. “You found out — to the ground. It’s right there. Now you know it isn’t anything that should scare you”

It’s not the first time that the “Austrian Oak” has helped a downed and seemingly defenseless kid:

It’s also not the movie star’s first time hanging out on the front page of the Internet, according to the Telegraph: Schwarzenegger has previously answered questions on the popular AMA — or Ask Me Anything — forum.

The famous bodybuilder apparently decided to offer his advice after another user tagged him after reading GnashBrowns’ story.

Schwarzenegger’s boost did not go unnoticed. GnashBrowns thanked the last action hero and promised to return to the forum bigger and stronger for an update on his progress.

“This is my rest day so it’s absolutely killing me not being able to go,”  he wrote. “But first thing tomorrow morning though, the tiny weights that I can pick up won’t know what lifted them.”

He added: “I’ve never felt this empowered in my life and I can’t thank you all enough.”
