“An individual sitting on the southern portion of the stadium had brought this gun into the stadium,” Brewer said. “It was in his sock. It was uncomfortable for him. He went to adjust his sock, and the weapon went off, striking him in the foot.”
According to the Associated Press, the bullet then traveled 50 feet, hitting a woman in her calf.
She has been released from the hospital, while the man is still being treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
Weapons are not permitted on school grounds, and Brewer said he plans to ask prosecutors to file charges.
The graduation ceremony proceeded after the shooting.
