The Nationals dropped a bombshell of news before Saturday’s game, that Stephen Strasburg’s season ends immediately. It was unexpected since the right-hander was expected to make one more start on Wednesday. Now, the Nationals try to quickly move on and play a game. They dropped Friday’s night game in 10 innings after coming back and now send Ross Detwiler (9-6, 3.15 ERA) to the mound. It will be a battle of left-handers; he will be opposed by Mark Buehrle (12-12, 3.73 ERA). As always, talk about the game here.

UPDATE, 3:56 p.m.: The game was delayed just before the start of the bottom of the ninth inning, the Nationals trailing 6-5 because of rain and high winds.

UPDATE, 6:20 p.m.: Announced re-start time of 6:30 p.m.
