Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg entered the visitor’s clubhouse in New York today, silently and with headphones on his ears. And for the first time on his scheduled day to start, he ran out instead to the outfield during batting practice to shag fly balls. His spot in the rotation now belongs to John Lannan, who makes his first start as a full member of the Nationals rotation this season against the Mets. Lannan (2-0, 3.46 ERA) won both of his spot starts during doubleheaders earlier this season. He will be opposed by Mets right-hander Matt Harvey (3-4, 3.04 ERA), their 2007 first-round pick. As always, talk about the game here. And follow the action here.
