Nationals-Dodgers discussion thread: Game 147

The Nationals are not focused on what they can pull off today, but they are aware. “I’m a math major,” Manager Davey Johnson said. “So I can count.” With two wins against the Dodgers, they will clinch a wild card spot and Washington’s first postseason berth since 1933. They have bigger aims, with the magic number to clinch the NL East at 10, and two wins today will not bring a major celebration. It will still provide an affirmation of how far the Nationals, losers of 298 games from 2008 through 2010, have come. Talk about the game right here.
