Ryan Zimmerman was pulled early from the second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader to rest; his shoulder received yet another cortisone shot before the games. Danny Espinosa, who also received on his in his shoulder this week, didn’t start in the second game and returns Thursday. Adam LaRoche, who was pulled in the eighth inning with a stiff knee, received an X-ray and the results were negative, Nationals Manager Davey Johnson said. It’s knee stiffness he has dealt with before. All start on Thursday.
