Chien-Ming Wang (2-3, 6.92 ERA) makes a spot start on Sunday, his first since June 19. Wang made his first appearance in nearly three months on Wednesday, tossing 2 1/3 scoreless innings against the Dodgers in relief of John Lannan. The Nationals didn’t want to bring Jordan Zimmermann back on short rest so they turned to Wang, who they believe is healthy and his mechanics improved. He will be opposed by Yovani Gallardo (16-8, 3.59 ERA), who is 7-0 with a 2.85 ERA in nine starts since the start of August. As always, talk about the game here.
