Nationals vs. Cardinals discussion thread: Game 157

Dave Tulis/AP

Three is the magic number. And with a three-game series against the Cardinals in St. Louis, the Nationals have plenty of opportunities to shave another number off. Edwin Jackson (9-10, 3.77 ERA) will face the team he won a World Series ring with last season for the second time this season. He plowed through them a month ago, striking out 10 batters over eight innings and allowing only one unearned run. He is the lone starter in the Nationals rotation without double-digit wins. He is opposed by Adam Wainwright (13-13, 4.02 ERA), who has a 6.41 ERA over his past five starts. As always, talk about the game here.
