It should be an eventful day at Space Coast Stadium in Viera today. Wilson Ramos will get behind the plate in a game for the first time since tearing his ACL and meniscus in last May. He will play three innings and get at least one at-bat. Closer Rafael Soriano makes his spring debut — the first of eight appearances this spring — and will likely pitch the seventh inning.

Houston Astros Manager Bo Porter, last year’s third base coach for the Nationals, manages against mentor Davey Johnson for the first time.

Henry Rodriguez, still easing back from offseason elbow surgery to remove bone spurs and recent arm tightness, threw his first live batting practice today. He is expected to appear in his first game and face only one batter on Friday.

“Much better,” he said after throwing. “I feel like myself again.”
