Davey Johnson, Jordan Zimmermann and the regulars stayed behind in Viera to face the Mets. Ross Ohlendorf and others traveled to Kissimmee to face the Astros. The lineups are below.

>>> Ryan Zimmerman is still on track to play third base for the first time this spring on March 18.

>>> Christian Garcia, who is pain-free in his right forearm, will see a hand/wrist specialist in Baltimore soon before he is cleared to resume throwing. He is still targeting March 17 as the date to play catch.

>>> Nate Karns’s recent extra tests were reviewed and he was cleared to resume throwing. He will throw a bullpen session Thursday.

>>> Johnson said he isn’t sure when Ross Detwiler will next pitch in a WBC game for Team USA. Detwiler is on schedule to pitch again on Thursday after regular rest but Team USA Manager Joe Torre hasn’t yet decided how to use the left-hander. According to Johnson, Team USA has slated Gio Gonzalez as the starter on March 19, the final game of the championship round should the U.S. advance that far.

>>> The first round of roster cuts will begin Wednesday, likely after the split squad games. Johnson is hoping to trim down the position players to a group of 20 for now.
