Nationals-Mets discussion thread: Game 16

(Washington Post/AP)

The Nationals will begin their season series against the Mets tonight, and it will not get any better than the first pitching matchup. Stephen Strasburg, making the 49th start of his career, will face Matt Harvey, making his 10th. Both strike out more than a batter per inning, both throw high-90s gas and both throw a power slider. It figures to be a long night for hitters, but a great night for watching.

By the way: Both Denard Span and Bryce Harper said they’re feeling better tonight, but they’re also still feeling some of the affects from the flu-like symptoms that knocked Span out Wednesday and diminished Harper. (Still, a diminished Harper went 4 for 5).

Talk about the game right here.
