Nationals-Mets discussion thread: Game 17

Toni L. Sandys/TWP

The Nationals will try to right themselves after a rough first night in New York. If they want some good news, it’s that none of the past five World Series champions started better than 9-7, the Nationals’ current record. They’ll send Gio Gonzalez against the Mets while facing Jeremy Hefner, who is 0-3 with a 5.29 in three career starts against the Nationals. It’s a brisk but gorgeous day at Citi Field. Talk about the game right here.
