Nationals-Cardinals lineups

Nationals Manager Davey Johnson vowed to make a few changes to the lineup after a Tuesday’s game, another stretch of sleepy bats and anxious hitting. He benched Adam LaRoche, who is 0 for 10 with seven strikeouts, in favor of Tyler Moore. The move isn’t surprising given LaRoche’s recent struggles and because Moore does well against left-handers. (Lefty Jaime Garcia starts for the Cardinals.)

Johnson also gave catcher Kurt Suzuki the day off and will start Jhonatan Solano, his first of the season, a move likely prompted because Suzuki caught last night’s game.
