Nationals at Braves discussion thread: Game 29

(Al Behrman / AP)

The Nationals were facing a potentially dire situation on Thursday. Jayson Werth missed the Wednesday’s game with a sore ankle and a lingering tight hamstring. Bryce Harper gave the team a scare when he grimaced on a check swing and was pulled from Wednesday’s game. In a lineup already without Ryan Zimmerman, Manager Davey Johnson could have had a difficult time filling out the lineup. Harper and Werth, instead, both felt well enough to play. Dan Haren (2-3, 6.29 ERA) hopes to salvage a series split against the Braves, who send Kris Medlen (1-3, 3.26 ERA) to the mound. The lineups are here. As always, discuss the game here.
