The Nationals are at .500 for the 12th time this season. It’s the middle of June. But they have the perhaps the perfect solution for following a loss: stopper Jordan Zimmermann (9-3, 2.00 ERA). The right-hander has started five times this season after a Nationals loss. And, in each of those games, the Nationals have won. Zimmermann is those starts has a 1.13 ERA with 31 strikeouts over 39 2/3 innings. He faces left-hander Scott Kazmir (3-3, 5.24 ERA), an interesting comeback story. The lineups are here. As always, talk about the game here. The game is on Fox.
