Tonight’s Nationals-Phillies lineups

Davey Johnson has never shied making the occasional bold, surprising lineup choice, and tonight qualifies. In his first game as a National, Scott Hairston will bat leadoff and play left field. Denard Span, hitting .154 against left-handed pitchers this year, will get the night off. Bryce Harper make his first start of the season in center field. (Harper played four innings of one game in center in April.)
