The Nationals return from a four-day all-star break and begin the so-called second half of the season. They have 67 games to make up a five-game wild-card and six-game NL East deficit. They begin with 11 games in 10 days at home. It’s also unbelievably hot and humid. Stephen Strasburg (5-7, 2.99 ERA) takes the mound and is opposed by Ricky Nolasco (6-9, 3.76 ERA). They finally solved longtime Nationals silencer Nolasco this season; beating him in both meetings this year and tagging him for six runs in 12 innings. The lineups are here. As always, discuss the game here.
