The Nationals are riding a four-game winning steak and they send Jordan Zimmermann (13-6, 3.10 ERA) to the mound. The right-hander, for all his consistency, has not been of late. He has punched up a 6.75 ERA in 18 2/3 innings over his four starts since the all-star break. That is a small sample size, but workhorse Zimmermann hasn’t reached the fifth inning in two of those starts. His opponent, Tim Lincecum (6-11, 4.18 ERA), has been better of late. He has a 3.86 ERA over his past four starts since the all-star break. His start before the all-star break was a no-hitter against the Padres. The lineups are here. As always, discuss the game here.
