Yankees at Nationals lineups and discussion thread: Game 12

(Photo by Jonathan Newton / The Washington Post)

The Yankees sent a representative lineup to Viera, a solid test for Jordan Zimmermann in his third start of the spring. Jacoby Ellsbury, Brett Gardner, Mark Teixeria and Brian McCann comprise the top of their lineup. The Nationals will counter with Anthony Rendon, Jayson Werth and Wilson Ramos among their regulars. Ian Desmond, who has been hitting second a lot this spring, is back in the fifth spot he filled last season. They’ll face the new, skinny version of CC Sabathia.

Behind Zimmermann, Felipe Rivero, Drew Storen, Manny Delcarmen, Daniel Stange and Christian Garcia are scheduled to pitch. On a minor league field, lefty Michael Gonzalez will make his sort-of spring debut.

Today’s game is live on MASN.
