After being scratched from his Thursday start with the flu, right-hander Jordan Zimmermann will start Friday’s home opener against the Atlanta Braves. Tanner Roark started instead on Thursday in New York while Zimmermann came home early to Washington to rest. As of Thursday evening, the Nationals were unsure whether Zimmermann would be well enough to start against the Braves. Bryce Harper is back down to hitting sixth in the lineup. Right-hander David Hale starts for the Braves.
