The Nationals open a three-game series against the Braves in Atlanta on Friday night. Right-hander Julio Teheran is starting and has a career 2.92 ERA in six starts versus the Nationals. Tanner Roark starts for Washington and hasn’t allowed a run in 13 career innings against Atlanta.

Manager Matt Williams is repeating a similar version of Thursday’s lineup. Denard Span is back after a day of rest at the leadoff spot. Bryce Harper is hitting sixth and Ian Desmond is hitting seventh again. The Nationals are fourth in the majors with a .779 team OPS.

The Braves will be without defensive whiz Andrelton Simmons, who jammed his wrist on Wednesday.
