Jayson Werth is out of Saturday’s Nationals lineup against the Braves after leaving Friday night’s game in the 10th inning with groin tightness. So Manager Matt Williams will use an atypical outfield alignment instead: Bryce Harper will start in center field while Nate McLouth, who can play center, is in right field.

Because left-handed starter Alex Wood is pitching for the Braves, Denard Span is sitting. Kevin Frandsen, who had a big pinch-hit RBI single on Friday night, will play left field. The two games Frandsen will have started for the Nationals this season are in left field. He is primarily an infielder.
