Updated Nationals-Braves lineup: Nate McLouth scratched

(David Goldman / AP)

About 30 minutes before first pitch, Nate McLouth was scratched from the lineup. The Nationals didn’t provide a reason why. Bryce Harper now shifts to center and will hit second while Kevin Frandsen will start in left and hit sixth. Frandsen, who has reached base seven times in 13 plate appearances this season, is 2 for 5 against Harang in his career. Frandsen started Saturday and went 2 for 3 with a walk.

The Nationals have endured a rash of injuries this season with Ryan Zimmerman, Wilson Ramos, Doug Fister and Denard Span all on the disabled list. Losing McLouth to an injury would be yet another blow. It is, however, unclear why he was scratched.
