Adam LaRoche sits for the first time all season and it will be against a left-handed starter Brad Hand. Tyler Moore will start at first base instead. Hot-hitting Bryce Harper is hitting clean-up against Hand, who he hit a three-run home run off of last week in Washington.

It’s April 14 and hot-hitting Kevin Frandsen, added late in spring training, is hitting second in the lineup and making his fourth start in the outfield. Before this season, he had started in the outfield only five times in his previous seven major league seasons. He is 7 for 15 to start the season and has a .529 on-base percentage.
