Today’s Nationals-Padres lineups

The Nationals are facing a second left-handed starter in three days and this time Manager Matt Williams is starting Adam LaRoche against Eric Stults. This is the fourth time LaRoche will start against a left-hander, and he is 3 for 11 overall (.273) against southpaws this season. Bryce Harper, who is 3 for his past 26 with two walks and five strikeouts, is hitting sixth.

As a team, the Nationals are hitting .280 against left-handers, the seventh best mark in the majors, with an .857 OPS.
