As expected, the Nationals activated backup outfielder Scott Hairston off the disabled list and optioned Steven Souza Jr. back to Class AAA Syracuse. Hairston was placed on the disabled list with an oblique strain April 6.

The Nationals will face the Dodgers for the first time this season after they went 1-5 against them last year. Yasiel Puig crashed into the wall at Marlins Park yesterday, and he is out of the Dodgers lineup tonight.
