The Nationals dropped the first game of the series, a marathon 15-inning game on Monday night to the Reds. That only complicates matters because they face the best pitcher in baseball through the first month and a half: Johnny Cueto, who has a 4-2 record, 1.25 ERA, three complete games and 72 innings. His ERA+ is 294 and has a WHIP of 0.708. That’s absurd. Anyway, Doug Fister makes his third start of the season for the Nationals, his first at home. Fister was strong in his last start, allowing only one run over seven innings in Phoenix. The lineups are here. As always, discuss the game below.
