Nationals-Pirates discussion thread: Game 50

The Nationals will try to avoid their first four-game sweep since the Cubs beat them four straight in 2009, in what happened to be the first four games of Jim Riggleman’s interim tenure. The Nationals’ recent skid has included an unusual distribution of runs. They went 2-5 last week, but they outscored opponents by two runs over that span. The Nationals have been competitive in most every loss — they haven’t loss by more than three runs since May 9.

Some good in-game reading: Boz on how nearly every team is mediocre so far.

Talk about the game right here.
